Born out of the need for a unique gift

Founded by Darsh Khanna, DAK Leather was born out of a need for a unique gift. In 2022, Darsh was looking to get his 17 (yes, 17!) groomsmen a unique gift. He came across a personalized card wallet on Instagram and immediately thought “I can make that.”

After hours of watching YouTube videos, learning all about leather and tools, he bought a few cheap tools to give it a try.

This was the start of DAK Leather. One build after another and encouragement from friends and family, Darsh decided to launch DAK Leather.

What's with the dog references?

Why not?

Just kidding...no excuse other than my love for my dog babies Dewey and Archie.

Meet Dewey
Woof! I am my dad’s first love, not these other humans and dogs he’s brought into our lives. I may be the oldest brother to my younger dog brother and human brother but I feel young as ever. So what if I have arthritis and all sorts of medical problems. 12 years old and still feeling like a youngin’.
Meet Archie
WOOF! I let Dewey think he is the boss but really, I protect this house. My parents really expected me to be like Dewey, lazy and sleeping all day but boy were they wrong. They got a reactive dog that wants to play all day long! PS my bark is loud hence the all caps WOOF.

You must be "DAK"

I hear this a lot. But to their disappointment, DAK is not my name. DAK Leather was named after my pups; Dewey and Archie. And the K is my last name, Khanna.
