Why we're doing this?

Crafting for a Cause

Neighbors Coffee and DAK Leather have teamed up to give back to our community in a meaningful way. We're raffling off a one-of-a-kind pair of handmade sneakers for one lucky winner. Plus, we're giving away a few other leather goods!

But back to the sneakers.

This isn’t just any custom sneaker. It’s a full, premium build using quality leather and traditional shoemaking techniques. Whether you want a classic look or something bold, we’ll create it together.
Every dollar raised goes directly to Nourish Now, a local nonprofit helping families in need with food support and emergency resources.

The winner gets to pick one of the following silhouettes for their custom build.

Every pair is built by hand using premium full-grain leather. Most builds are typically sold in the range of $800 to $2,000 depending on materials and model. This raffle is capped at a value of $1,000.

Raffle Details

🎟 Each entry = $15 donation
💵 No limit on the number of entries (you may only win one item)
👟 Custom show winner chooses the shoe model AND custom design. Runner ups receive the pictured prize.

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years or older to enter.
  • Open to U.S. residents only.

How to Enter

  • Entries can only be purchased on DAK Leather raffle product page.
  • Each paid raffle entry is $15.
  • Each $15 entry counts as one (1) raffle ticket.
  • There is no limit to the number of paid entries.
  • Entries are recorded by Shopify order number.

Prize Details

  • One (1) winner will receive a fully custom pair of handmade shoes created by DAK Leather. Second to fifth place winners will receive the pictured leather goods.
  • The winner may select the shoe model from the eligible list shown on this page.
  • Custom shoe price value is up to $1,000, depending on the final model and materials selected.
  • Material options are limited to the discretion of DAK Leather.
  • If the winner requests upgrades that exceed the $1,000 value, the winner may choose to pay the difference.
  • Prize has no cash value and may not be exchanged for cash.
  • Prize is non-transferable.
  • Winner pays for any shipping (if applicable) or must arrange pick up from Gaithersburg, MD with DAK Leather.

Customization & Disclaimer

  • The final product is handmade and built to the winner’s specifications. Variations, marks, or imperfections may naturally occur due to the handmade craft process.
  • DAK Leather does not produce counterfeit goods. These shoes are handmade, custom leather art pieces inspired by popular silhouettes and use original Nike/Birkenstock components where necessary.
  • The winner acknowledges that the custom pair is an artistic interpretation and not for resale.
  • DAK Leather, Neighbors Coffee, or Nourish Now is not affiliated, associated, or endorsed by Nike, Birkenstock, or any other footwear brand. Custom shoes created for this raffle are original handmade pieces.

Timeline

  • Build time is approximately 4–8 weeks after design approval and materials are in hand.
  • Delays may occur due to material availability, supply chain issues, or complexity of design. We will communicate any updates directly with the winner.

Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be chosen at random using a digital random selection tool.
  • The drawing will take place on December 6, 2025.
  • The winner will be announced and contacted via email, phone (call or text) or Instagram. If no response is received within 7 days, a new winner may be selected.
  • The winner agrees to have the results of the raffle shared publicly via channels like Instagram, TikTok, email, and other mediums.

Use of images

By entering, participants grant DAK Leather permission to use photos of the completed custom shoes for promotional purposes, including social media and website displays.

Refunds & Returns

  • Raffle entries are non-refundable.
  • Custom-made items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the design process has begun.

Charity & Donations

  • All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Nourish Now, a local nonprofit organization providing food support to families in the DMV.
  • Donations made through raffle entries are generally not tax deductible, as raffle entries have the chance to win a prize.

Liability Release
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless:

  • DAK Leather
  • Neighbors Coffee
  • Nourish Now

from any liability, loss, or damage resulting from participation in the raffle or from acceptance/use of the custom shoe prize.

Modification or Cancellation
DAK Leather reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the raffle in the event of fraud, technical issues, or any other reason outside of our control.
